What is Poppi Soda

Poppi soda is an abbreviation for “soda pop.” The key ingredients are sparkling water, fruit juices, apple cider vinegar, and organic cane sugar; the remaining ingredients vary significantly depending on flavor (Poppi now offers nine varieties). There is no high fructose corn syrup anywhere near these cans. The drink contains organic agave inulin (available in several variations) and ACV prebiotics.

Among the many benefits of ACV are its potential small impact on weight loss and aid in blood sugar regulation. Prebiotics, as opposed to probiotics, have been demonstrated to enhance gut health, which can boost immunity and aid in digestion, skin clarity, and pH balance. The inverse of what a standard can of Mountain Dew would achieve.

How much caffeine is in Poppi soda?

Only two of Poppi’s nine flavors contain caffeine: Classic Cola and Doc Pop (their version of Dr Pepper), and even then, it’s only 32mg (a grande dark roast at Starbucks has roughly 260mg). The caffeine content of these Poppi flavors is attributable to the inclusion of green tea.

Is Poppi good for you?

Based only on statistics, Poppi outperforms other drinks in the soda category. A single Coke can has 140 calories and 39 grams of sugar, which is nearly 10 teaspoons. Poppi’s knockoff, “Classic Cola,” with five grams of sugar and twenty-five calories, also provides the health advantages of apple cider vinegar (one serving or one tablespoon, according to Poppi).

If you’re not sensitive to stevia or inulin and still enjoy this type of beverage, go ahead and drink it, even if each can contain a moderate amount of sugar and there are some risks linked with artificial sweeteners. Because people have been using the cans as a base for mocktails and cocktails, you can get creative with all of the flavors.

Can you drink Poppi every day?

The company believes that having a handful of them each day is safe. Because cane sugar and fruit juices are used to cover the taste of ACV, one can contains about one teaspoon of sugar, so keep that in mind if you’re watching your sugar intake. Personally, I believe that including apple cider vinegar (ACV) into my diet is beneficial, and I also enjoy drinking unusual and useful beverages. The price of Poppi soda, which can easily reach $2.50 per can, prevents me from drinking it every day.

Can you drink Poppi every day?

The business claims that having a few of these each day is harmless. Because cane sugar and fruit juices are added to the ACV to mask its taste, one can contain roughly one teaspoon of sugar, so keep that in mind if you’re careful how much sugar you eat. I personally think it’s great to include apple cider vinegar (ACV) in my diet, and I also adore interesting, useful drinks. However, the price of Poppi—can easily exceed $2.50 per can—keeps me from drinking it every day.

What does Poppi soda taste like?

The ACV taste in a Poppi can is surprisingly little to nonexistent. Besides, you know how harsh it is if you’ve actually smoked the thing. Poppi has done a fantastic job of hiding the taste with fruit liquids and a tiny bit of sugar, all while giving you the recommended spoonful of apple cider vinegar (ACV) for your health benefits. Just two of the nine Poppi variants that are currently on the market—Doc Pop and Classic Cola—contain caffeine.

Doc Pop: Poppi’s Doc Pop is a milder imitation of the original Dr P with a touch of that distinctive licorice black cherry flavor, even though it’s not quite as flavorful as Dr Pepper’s 23 hallmark flavors. It’s not as dark as I had anticipated, but it also doesn’t contain artificial food coloring.

Classic Cola: This was another excellent imitation of a large soda, with a taste similar to the healthful version of Coca-Cola but without the guilt-inducing high fructose corn syrup. And when I put it side by side with Diet Coke, I was completely repulsed by the Diet Coke’s aspartame flavor as opposed to the Classic Cola’s crisper, lighter flavor.

Raspberry Rose: This one was sweet and tangy, with a great combination of floral and fruity overtones. It was also not at anyway close to tasting like a bar of soap, which is a common mistake made by rose-flavored foods and beverages.

Watermelon:  This one was sweet and juicy, like a Sour Patch candy made with watermelon. Unquestionably the best hot day to drink on the beach with your toes on the sand during the summer.

Cherry Limeade:  If you enjoy Sonic Cherry Limeade, you’ll enjoy the traditional maraschino taste in this Poppi flavor. You can certainly taste the sweet cherry flavor combined with the tangy sourness of lime, even if it’s not as syrupy-sweet as the classic drive-in.

Root Beer: The main reason this was my least favorite Poppi flavor was that it had a stronger aftertaste than the others—perhaps because I could taste the ACV in it? The powerful and feisty sarsaparilla flavors made it obvious that this was a root beer, however, I would have preferred a little more vanilla flavor as well.

Ginger Lime: When the Ginger Lime is the star of the show in a ginger-lime mule, or on the other hand, when your stomach is feeling a little less than, it hits with a wonderful spicy citrus zing.

Strawberry Lemon: I used to always have Pink Lemonade Lip Smackers in middle school, and this Poppi flavor reminds me of band practice. It was quite delicious, with a pucker of lemon blended with sweet, luscious strawberries.

Orange: Simple and zesty, this one tastes a little fresh than your can of Fanta or Crush and isn’t nearly as sweet. It tastes like freshly squeezed orange juice blended with a La Croix.
